I am writing a paper on illegal immigration in the US, and I was hoping to ask a couple of questions of people reading this post.
There seems to be a lot of crazy people with some very strong opinions writing about immigration laws and policy. The mass amount of conversations on the web, ranging from, “I hate those Illegals,” to “Let my people go free,” makes it hard to just find out the, “Why” of illegal immigration.
1. Why do people immigrate to the US illegally? Is it that bad in Mexico?
2. How do they get here illegally? Does every one of them stow away in a semi truck trailer?
3. Why is illegal immigration a problem? Are current Americans afraid of Native American descendants taking back land?
4. Does anybody believe President Obama is doing anything about illegal immigration in the United States?
Will you please take a moment and leave a comment on your thoughts and opinions regarding the “Why” of United States illegal immigration?
Many Mexicans come here because they only get paid $100 a week, they have little or no food or money to support themselves. Coming here can help them survive and live longer. Part of theUS was taken away from Mexicans and everyone except Indians are illegal immigrants. Who are we to say that know one is allowed here because you are not white. By allowing them to becaome legal would help us get out of debt.
Just be here LEGAL. color is not a problem, Although it is made a race issue by the people that want to be here illegally. everything that is wrong in this country is all because the white people are raciest. This is the opinion of most minority emigrants. The white people have been demonized by so many, when in fact they “the white people ” are only wanting the folks from south of the border to PLAY BY THE RULES. leave your dope in Mexico, if you come here come legal and contribute to OUR/now your society. don’t make this a race thing, make a legal thing. obey the law of this land. Learn ENGLISH , and stop throwing your trash by the side of the road, somebody has to pick it up. Buy health insurance and stop being parasitical. After you have come here respect this land and the people, remember we OWE you nothing. Leave your flag in Mexico if you plan on staying. when the early European’s came here they did not receive Medicare and make big money, they worked , cleared land, raised their food. so the idea of the reason illegals come here is because of the money isn’t enough reason. I believe its the liberal lax laws that allow all the free entitlements this country dolls out. come to our country please, just come legal, earn your way like our forefathers did.
1. Mexico is not that bad, it is better than most countries in the world with twice the average world income, a well fed populace, the world’s richest man (Carlos Slim), and fantastic natural beauty and resources. But the US is still twice as good at least for now, and especially for Mexico’s lowest income people. If you could easily double or triple your income you would move to another country also.
2. Very few stow away in the truck trailer, most walk across the border in unpopulated areas, led by Coyotes (smuggling guides).
3. Now you’ve really gone off the rails, Mexican are not in any way descendants of American Indian, most illegal Mexicans are Mestizos, a combination of Spanish colonists and Mexican Indians. Where did you hear this total lie?
4. President Obama is doing something all right, all the wrong things.
Really? You want others to do your homework for you?? I’ve heard that college kids have gotten lazy nowadays but I had no idea.
Nonetheless, the ONLY thing you need to know is that they knowingly broke our laws to come here and knowingly break our laws to remain here. For any other info, sweetie, do your own research.

I have read some of the replies above. Where it says that they make 100 dollars a week, well they have to pay less for food, housing and etc. why do you think that a lot of others go too Mexico to buy property. Their wages has nothing to do with it just like in other countries their cost of living is different than here in the USA. As for you dear young lady that is in College it’s great that you are wanting to learn from everywhere you can. I for one applaud you for this. In my point of view and I have witnessed myself is that the Illegal Immigrants come here to get a free ride at us American Citizens expense, they work taking our American jobs then they send the money back too their home countries because the American dollar is worth more than theirs. Now if we did this in their countries we would be arrested put in their jails if not killed for breaking their laws. They the Illegal Immigrants have NO Respect for us nor our Country. Which this has got too stop. I just got through reading another article which is listed on this web page where we American Citizen Taxpayer is paying $113 Billion dollars a Year for these Illegals to be here and I bet that is at the lower amount.
The sample of illegal immigrants you have seen is tiny and unrepresentative of the mass of illegal immigrants. Even most xenophobes whom I know acknowledge that illegal work harder, often with greater skill and almost always for much lower wages than any native-born American would demand for the same job. There are reasons to complain about the immigration problem, but the quality of the illegal immigrant population is not one of them.
